Throughout our lives as Christians, we celebrate the tangible presence of God and God’s working in our lives through rituals we call sacraments. The sacraments celebrate initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist), vocation (Marriage and Holy Orders) and healing (Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick). As Catholics, we are often called a sacramental people, for we see in the goodness of creation the working of God, and we celebrate that through the goodness of nature: water, oil, bread, wine, the hands of others.
In this section, we offer a brief overview of each sacrament and ways you or your family members may experience the richness of the sacramental life here at St. Brendan.
